As you may have noticed, if you've been here before that is, is that I'm in the middle of redesigning the website a bit. So, just hang on in there.

And in the meantime you can access my two animations from YouTube, A Blue Day and Ahead of the Game. If you're in the mood for some Danish short films, check out Lamper and Hvem Dræbte Herr Guld.

So, it's finally done. My latest project, two extremely short animations with music from my extremely talented friend Helgi Rafn, is finally over.

It ended up sounding incredible. Helgi's music really puts the whole thing together, especially A Blue Day. And I'm pretty satisfied with how it ended up looking, too. But please, don't waste more time reading this, go watch them. And then watch them again. And again, and again.

So, it turns out it wasn't the drunken closet but the swimming toaster that ended up in the Top 10 in the comic competition on dr. dk.

And, in great news it's been announced that the toaster comic is one of the three winners. I guess that means I'm going to have to start making these comics again..

Thanks for the support, everyone. The drunk closet ended up in the Top 10 in DR's competition. In about two weeks we'll know which three comics of the Top 10 will win 5000dkr.

What's going on?

I've restructured some of the site to incorporate Slimbox, something that makes viewing my sketches more flashy. Works better, if you ask me, since there aren't too many.

And in the process I decided to change the site a bit, visually.

Where are the comics, you ask? They're officially on hiatus. I've stopped making them. I'm not sure when they'll return, but they'll return. I've just moved to Denmark and I'm working a lot.

But in the meantime you can vote for Home Ec. in DR's comic competition.

It's going well

It's been ten weeks now since I made the promise of creating one comic each Sunday. I've kept that promise so far and will hopfeully continue doing that. I hope you faithful readers continue visiting the site in the meantime.

New sketches

I've put up a new sketch in the, well.. sketch section. Hopefully it's the first in a row of many I'll be drawing in the future. For some reason, I'm felling a bit more inspired than usually.

Also, next Sunday's comic is finished. Ahead of time. I've got time to spare. Incredible.

But you won't get the comic until Sunday. Nyah-ha!!

Hvem Dræbte Herr Guld?

Finally, the short film that won Best Veteran Film on the Borups Awards '06 is up and running on the internet. It's my final project from that school and I hoped to make a more extreme, cartoony atmosphere this time around (instead of the calm, almost awkward atmosphere of Lamper.) In my opinion I succeded in that. Whether it's good or not, though. That's up to you all.

The story tells of Mr. Gold who has always been a happy and lucky human being, but everyone can't seem to be anything but hostile towards him. The film chronicles his whole life, after his sudden death.

With the new site design comes a new comic, of course.

Hope you like it and take it as a sign that times may be changing. I'll try and make up a new one by next Sunday and before you know it Sunday will change from being the Christian Holiday to being Official Home Ec. day.

Site redesigned

Initially I closed the site for redesigning it and was planning on opening it up again when I had my latest short film, Hvem Dræbte Herr Guld? (or Who Killed Mr. Gold?) up on the site. But the film has since been lost to the foul depths of hard drive failures and won't be up on the site until I get the hard drive repaired.

But keeping the site in Coming Soon status forever isn't going to impress anyone so I've decided to open it up again. It's not without some new content, though. I've put up an old short film called Tvíklofinn Persónuleiki (Split Personality) The whole film was made in under an hour and was started out of boredom and desire to try out a special effect.

I've also put up a series of photos I took at Amager Hundesalon. The project title was "Working People."

Everything else is still where it used to be and the comics (Home Ec.) have been put under Ongoing Projects, which hopefully means I'll be updating it more often.

Awesome news, everyone!

Some idiots, not from my school, used the computers last weekend and deleted everything from the student servers. So, there went my cartoon.

Luckily, though, my spirit was not broken and I started a new one. It only took two days to make that one, so the quality may not be as great. But I actually learned a lot more from doing that one than I ever did in the two weeks it took making the first one.

I'll make sure to put the new one up as soon as possible.

So, the photos are active! Finally! And only a single one of it is actually taken by me. But let's just say they all mean something to me, and are therefore up there.

Work's underway on an animation featuring the lightbulb from the comics. Currently I'm working on scanning all the drawings in, which is dreadfully boring and takes a lot of time. It feels weird writing this as the only ones reading this are Icelanders. Hope it's at least good english reading practice for you guys.

Welcome to jonkk.dk where I will hopefully be showcasing stuff I've made, as well as stuff I'm going to make. I mainly work on films, animations and comics. I do play with a camera once in a while and more often than I should (because of toxic hazard) develop them myself.
